A Steam Page Has Appeared
Earlier this month, Xbox officially announced Gears of War: Reloaded. A full remastered version of the original Gears of War will be launching this August.
It was also confirmed that the game would be coming to the PlayStation 5 console as well as Xbox Series X/S and PC.
Not only will it feature the original campaign, but it will also feature PvP multiplayer with crossplay between platforms fully supported.
A new post on Reddit has hinted that Gears of War: Reloaded could get some form of beta, most likely for the multiplayer aspect. It comes after a Steam DB was spotted for that very beta.
The Steam DB page now lists a game called ‘PenPL’ with a Gears of War logo; however, to previously stated ‘Gears of War: Reloaded Beta before it was then changed.
A multiplayer better for the Remastered Gears title makes perfect sense. It would not only help get current fans of the series excited about the game, but also serve as a little taster for those coming into the series for the first time.
Given that Xbox has a summer showcase fast approaching, it is very likely that we will hear more about this beta at the event. There is also the strong possibility that the beta gets shadow-dropped at the showcase.
