HoYoverse has officially launched Zenless Zone Zero on Xbox Series X|S, with full support for Xbox Cloud Gaming available to Game Pass Ultimate members. This is the latest step in HoYoverse’s growing presence on Xbox, following the arrival of Genshin Impact in late 2024.
Zenless Zone Zero is a fast-paced action RPG set in the post-apocalyptic city of New Eridu. Players step into the shoes of a “Proxy,” guiding a diverse cast of characters through dangerous alternate dimensions known as Hollows to fight back against creatures called Ethereals. The game blends stylish, real-time combat with roguelike systems and team-building mechanics.
The Xbox version supports native 4K resolution, HDR visuals, and a smooth 60 FPS frame rate on Series X|S consoles. Most importantly, thanks to Xbox Cloud Gaming, Zenless Zone Zero is also instantly accessible through the cloud via browser, mobile devices, or handhelds like the ROG Ally and Logitech G Cloud. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can jump in without downloading the game, and cloud saves sync across platforms for a seamless experience.
Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.0
The release coincides with the game’s Version 2.0 update, titled Where Clouds Embrace the Dawn, which expands the game significantly. Players can explore the new Waifei Peninsula region, recruit agents from the newly introduced Yunkui Summit faction, and participate in anniversary events. These events include generous in-game rewards such as 1,600 Polychromes, a free selectable S-Rank agent and W-Engine, and access to new gameplay modes.
Following Genshin Impact’s Xbox debut via the cloud, the arrival of Zenless Zone Zero signals HoYoverse’s commitment to the platform. Fans are now turning their hopes toward Honkai: Star Rail, speculating it may be the next HoYoverse title to reach Xbox.
